So, you’ve signed up to the Betfair Betting Exchange, and now you just need to know How To Place A Bet On Betfair. In this ‘How To Article’, we’ve decided to highlight our favourite Betting Exchange, Betfair, and show you just how easy the UK’s Premier Online Bookmaker is to use.

To claim your free £25, all you have to do is open up your account with Betfair, make an initial £25 deposit & bet, and then whether you win or lose, you’ll receive a £25 deposit back into your ‘Betfair Wallet‘. If memory serves, the deposit into our Betfair Wallet was showing in our account by the following day.
When depositing into your account, you can use all means of paying, from PayPal, Credit Card, Debit Card, and direct deposit. Just keep in mind that if you use a credit card, you will incur a small fee, so if you can, use a Debit Card from your bank instead to avoid that fee.
Once you’ve logged in to Betfair, at this point you are on the Betfair home page and need to find which sport you want to bet on. Click on the Sports tab, found in the upper left hand corner of your page, as seen in the following image.
You’ll see on the left hand side, a bar with a default list of Popular Sports. Have a look through the list and see which sport takes your fancy. We’re going to place a bet on the upcoming World Cup Football match between Germany vs Spain. So we click on Football, scroll down to find World Cup, and give it a click as seen in the following pic:
You’ll see the Germany Vs Spain Football match displayed in the main body of the screen amongst the other matches to select from.
As an act of shear malice after our miserable defeat by the Germans, we’re backing Spain to the tune of £500 in this example, as seen in the next screen shot of the Odds Window for the match. Hopefully we’ll get some joy out of this World Cup and some extra cash to boot! 
Click where indicated by the red outline box in the above image, and you’re presented with the Place Bets window as shown below:
Simply enter your Stake, (the amount you want to bet), and click Place Bets, found at the bottom, and there you have it, your bet is placed!
You can see in the Bet Status window, as shown below, that we’ve placed a Win Bet on Spain @ odds 2.68 (13/8) with a Stake of £500, which will give us a profit of £840 should Spain indeed win, receiving back our original £500 placed bet as well obviously.
It’s that easy to place a bet on Betfair, we’ve just got to cross our collective fingers and hope Spain can play the football we know they can!
