Proofing Results For 31 July – 11 Aug
Keeping you up to date, here are the latest Proofing Results from their trainers comments:
Wednesday 11th August:
“Cool Kitten” @ Yarmouth Racecourse
Review: “We have put the visors back on her and have a good apprentice on board. If she runs as she works at home she should go very close. (WAS 12/1 WHEN WE POSTED)”
Result: Won the race at 17/2 (9.5)
“Forty Proof” @ Sandown Park Racecourse
Review: “The drop back to 5f should suit Forty Proof and has an each way chance.”
Result: Was placed 3rd at 15/2 (8.5)
“Verinco” @ Hamilton Park Racecourse
Review: “The conditions should suit him but it is a competitive race and he is drawn wide. Nevertheless he has been running well and could be placed again.”
Result: Won the race at 16/1 (17.0)
“Pebblesonthebeach” @ Salisbury Racecourse
Review: “Pebblesonthebeach looks very well and spoilt his chance at Windsor getting left (cardinal sin) 1m is his trip but I am hopeful he will do enough on the drop back to 7f.”
Result: Was placed 2nd at 9/2 (5.5)
Tuesday 10th August:
“King Of Reason” @ Ffos Las Racecourse
Review: “King Of Reason is in good form and the conditions will suit but has Roger Charlton’s to beat.”
Result: Won the race at 10/11 (1.91)
Monday 9th August:
“Shannersburg” @ Wolverhampton Racecourse
Review: “Shannersburg ran well last time out and is sure to be there or thereabouts again today.”
Result: Won the race at 7/4 (2.75)
“Fifth Commandment” @ Windsor Racecourse
Review: “Fifth Commandment is in great form at present and she ought to go very close although I do fear Hannon’s.”
Result: Won the race at 7/2 (4.5)
Saturday 7th August:
“Western Pearl” @ Newmarket Racecourse
Review: “It looks a competitive maiden however she has improved since her run at Ffos Lasand I expect her to run well. A good each way chance.”
Result: Was placed 2nd at 8/1 (9.0)
“Hambleton” @ Redcar Racecourse
Review: “He’s not run for a long time but he has ability and I think he’ll run well in what isn’t the most competitive of races. Good chance today.”
Result: Was placed 3rd at 12/1 (13.0)
“Dubai Hills” @ Haydock Park Racecourse
Review: “He will love the soft ground and is a winner over course and distance. He will have improved for his recent run and would be a great each way bet at a decent price.”
Result: Was placed 2nd at 12/1 (13.0)
“Al Khaleej” @ Newmarket Racecourse
Review: “A competitive race and we have put the visor’s on for the first time. Al Khaleej is in superb order and if taking to the ground, would have great chances of making the frame.”
Result: Won the race at 10/1 (12.0)
“Vainglory” @ Ascot Racecourse
Review: “Vainglory has a new jockey up today and their are no secrets to this horse. I am looking for him to run a very solid race and be involved at the business end.”
Result: Was placed 2nd at 9/1 (10.0)
Friday 6th August:
“Never Can Tell” @ Lingfield Park Racecourse
Review: “Never Can Tell might just have improved enough and I am very hopeful she can break her duck today. A drop of rain would cement my confidence.”
Result: Won the race at Evens (2.0)
“Thoughtful” @ Brighton Racecourse
Review: “Thoughtful has been a disappointing filly, we have been looking for a bad race for her and a 0-65 maiden handicap fits the bill. She shows glimpses of ability, but no more than hopeful.”
Result: Was placed 3rd at 28/1 (29.0)
Thursday 5th August:
“Budding Daffodil” @ Yarmouth Racecourse
Review: “She should appreciate the ground and the step up in trip. Has a good each way chance.”
Result: Was placed 2nd at 16/1 (17.0)
“Geblah” @ Haydock Park Racecourse
Review: “Geblah is very likely to need the run today and the ground is against too.”
Result: Was placed 4th at 9/1 (10.0)
“Mutadarrej” @ Bath Racecourse
Review: “I never like running my horse’s this quick but Mutadarrej is due to go up considerably in the weights so we have to run him. That said, he looks very well indeed and I’d be disappointed if he didn’t win this.”
Result: Won the race at 5/6 (1.83)
“Potentiale” @ Brighton Racecourse
Review: “We think this is an ideal course for Potentiale (he was third on his only start over course and distance on ground softer than ideal), he has since slipped down the weights and has every chance to get in the money and could well win this.”
Result: Was placed 3rd at 8/1 (9.0)
Wednesday 4th August:
“Malgoof” @ Newcastle Racecourse
Review: “Stepped up on his debut effort when second at Catterick last time. The winner of that Catterick maiden looked a decent sort and he should be more suited by the ground today. There are plenty of debutants against him but it would take an above average one to beat him. Great chance!”
Result: Won the race at 11/4 (3.75)
“Midwestern” @ Pontefract Racecourse
Review: “He ran well on his seasonal reappearance at Carlisle last time. It is a competitive handicap today but normal progression from the Carlisle run should give him every chance today.”
Result: Won the race at 10/3 (4.33)
“Ahlaain” @ Brighton Racecourse
Review: “I would like to think that we have found Ahlaain a winning opportunity today. He is looking well at home and is in great order and has further improvment to come. My only slight concern would be the unraced Muntasib who has some eyecatching entries for the future.”
Result: Won the race at 5/6 (1.83)
Tuesday 3rd August:
“Shannersburg” @ Catterick Bridge Racecourse
Review: “Shannersburg is stepping up in trip, which is a bit of an unknown. Back in similar company since last win and I think we only have the favourite to beat.”
Result: Was placed 2nd at 7/2 (4.5)
Sunday 1st August:
“Rockiteer” @ Market Rasen Racecourse
Review: “Rockiteer will like the conditions and has very good e/w claims in an open looking race.”
Result: Won the race at 14/1 (15.0)
Saturday 31st July:
“Peintre D’Argent” @ Newmarket Racecourse
Review: “Ground and trip should suit Peintre D’Argent, however she is carrying more weight again but has a good each way chance.”
Result: Was placed 3rd at 7/2 (4.5)
“Vitoria” @ Doncaster Racecourse
Review: “Although it’s her first run of the season, she is very well. She may have to settle for finishing second to Arcano though.”
Result: Won the race at 4/1 (5.0)
“Henry Morgan” @ Hamilton Park Racecourse
Review: “He has improved for his good run on debut at Doncaster. He tackles a stiff 6f today but is in great order and if he stays balanced going down the hill he should have a very good chance.”
Result: Won the race at 15/8 (2.88)
“Harald Bluetooth” @ Newmarket Racecourse
Review: “Harald Bluetooth is having a first run for a very long time and will almost definately need the run.”
Result: Was placed 4th at 7/2 (4.5)
“Timothy T” @ Lingfield Park Racecourse
Review: “Timothy T ran well first time out at Yarmouth, he has a good draw and should have a great chance tonight.”
Result: Won the race at 5/4 (2.25)
“Fifth Commandment” @ Newmarket Racecourse
Review: “Stamina or lack of it could be the issue here. The more rain that falls the less chance she has, she is however in great form and on faster ground i would have fancied her. Not out of it but i am worried.”
Result: Won the race at 10/1 (11.0)
