Hennessy Winter Festival: Betting Tips

Hennessy Gold Cup Trophy

Hennessy Gold Cup Trophey

The Hennessy Gold Cup was won in 2009 by the outstanding Denman, who had to carry the full load of weight around the difficult course against a very talented field of Hennessy Gold Cup runners. Denman had previously won the race in 2007, before going on to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup the following March. Last years winner, Diamond Harry – who won at a great 6/1 odds would also be worth a punt if confirmed as a runner.

Newbury’s left-handed, galloping course provides a true test of stamina, particularly in wet conditions – The ground can turn fast here and totally change the dynamic.
