Carlisle Racecourse

Carlisle Racecourse is 1m 4f in circumference, right handed, and hosts flat racing in the summer and National Hunt racing over the winter months. The last half mile is up a steep incline which is a real test of the horse. With four fences to jump in the straight and two steep downhill sections per circuit a well balanced runner is needed and cool headed experience is a great boost to the jockey.

Situated between the Borders and the Lake District, Carlisle provides tourists with an ideal opportunity for a day out at the races and the newly developed facilities keep you in comfort and style.
