Racing At Great Yarmouth Racecourse

Based close to the premier training establishment of Newmarket, Great Yarmouth Racecourse is never short on quality and many classic winners have used this course as part of their education. Provides holiday-makers with an ideal opportunity to combine a trip to the seaside with a day at the races. Being a flat track, galloping in nature, big, long-striding horses are particularly well suited to the test this course offers.

The course used to struggle with off-shore winds messing up their attempts at watering but, since they changed to a new system, the problem has gone, and there no longer seems to be much in the draw.

There are two types of entrance package available at Great Yarmouth Racecourse, both packages offer entrance to the course but the facilities are split depending on the level of ticket that you have access to.

Premier Enclosure: The Premier Enclosure at Great Yarmouth Racecourse offers all the facilities in the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure, plus entrance into:

Lord Nelson Grandstand

Trafalgar Restaurant

: where you can enjoy a superb meal with views over the race track and Parade Ring.

Victory Bar

– provides easy access to the Premier Enclosure Lawn and views over the race track.

Premier Enclosure Lawn and Patio

– adjacent to the Parade Ring and Winners Enclosure.
Hoops Champagne Bar
– offering bar facilities, light snacks and afternoon tea, and includes a lawned area with garden furniture.

Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure is geared more towards the family environment and offers facilities to match. A great value entrance package that you are sure to love. It includes:

As you can see, Great Yarmouth Racecourse is a versatile leisure venue offering horse racing, a variety of public events and a wide range of corporate hospitality, advertising and venue hire opportunities.

In addition to superb corporate hospitality facilities on offer at all race meetings, this course also hosts a wide range of public events including antiques fayres, craft fayres and music concerts. Great Yarmouth Racecourse Directions

By road Great Yarmouth Racecourse is to the North of Great Yarmouth located near to the village of Caister-On-Sea. Follow the yellow AA signs. The train station is only 1 mile from the racecourse and has a direct link from Norwich. Buses run regularly from Great Yarmouth Market Place and the Sea Front during the summer months.

Great Yarmouth Racecourse Dress Code

In the Premier and Hospitality Enclosures you are not allowed any sports kit or ripped jeans to be worn. Whilst they do not insist upon collared shirts, ties or suits and training shoes are permitted as are tailored shorts – we say dress smart casual, we want you to relax in comfortable clothing in quality surroundings; after all it is your day to enjoy.
