Open all year round if you’re looking for a unique venue with stylish facilities, free parking, and excellent transport links, Musselburgh Racecourse provides the perfect event location.
Set on the coast overlooking the Firth of Forth, Musselburgh is a well-supported track, especially by Southern yards – This is a tight, flat track of about 1¼ miles and there is often a furiously fast past. For this reason front-runners are favoured, and the sharp, right-handed gradients tend to suit the nimble, speedy types.
The John Smith’s Scottish Cheltenham Trials Day is one of the highlight events at Musselburgh, and here you will find top class jumps racing featuring two valuable races with a line up including some of the country’s best hurdlers.Making it even more exciting, this race is a pre-qualifier for those who are aiming for the Cheltenham Festival or Aintree Grand National meeting. Full of racing excitement this is the perfect way to spend a winter’s afternoon with good food on offer and an intoxicating atmosphere that comes with premium jump racing.
