A visit to Perth Racecourse will be a day watching the finest horses and jockeys compete in one of the most historical locations of all the UK’s jump racecourses. Situated on the banks of the River Tay, Perth is Britain’s most northerly racecourse. Front runners have a particularly good record as the track is virtually flat and the tight bends play to their strengths.
Fixtures are arranged to suit the tourist industry taking place between April and September with the highlight being the Perth Festival in late April. Each fixture will typically have 6 or 7 races, with many dates offering additional entertainment before or after racing, such as fashion shows, live music and camel racing.

Bindaree Café: If it’s a quick snack you want The Bindaree Café on the ground floor of The Club Stand is the perfect option for you, providing a wide range of snacks all day. Recently modernised this facility serves home-made soup, steak pies, hot baguettes, salad options and confectionary. Outdoor seating is available. Fish & Chips: A traditional Fish & Chip Bar is another popular facility with race goers and is located beside the turnstiles. Fresh battered haddock or portions of scampi are available throughout the day with picnic tables outside to enjoy your meal. Champagne Bar: Overlooking The Parade Ring, the Champagne Bar provides the perfect place to start your day at the races. Enjoy a glass of bubbly on the lawn as you watch the horses strut their stuff before racing, toast your winnings or celebrate in style with a very well stocked bar. Viewing Bar: Located on the first floor of The Club Stand, above The Club Restaurant, the Viewing Bar is a great place to enjoy an ice cold beer between races. With betting facilities available and direct access to the Victorian terraces, race goers are well placed for watching the the horses as they take to water hurdle. Betting Hall Bar: Located in the ground floor of The Nelson Stand, the Betting Hall Bar offers delicious highland burgers and confectionery along with a well stocked bar and tv screens showing racing throughout the country. By road, follow directions for Perth. Once you arrive in Perth, follow signs for the A93 (Blairgowrie) which is junction 11 of the M90. Perth Racecourse is located one mile past Scone Palace just off the A93.
On race days, bus services will be provided from Perth town centre direct to the Racecourse. Pickup will be from Mill Street outside the cinema and they will leave 70, 60, and 50 minutes before the start of the first race. Return buses will also leave the racecourse 10 minutes after the last race. Extra buses will be provided on Gold Cup Day.

Perth Racecourse offers a relaxed dress code in all of the public enclosures, however they operate a “strictly no football colours” policy throughout. For evening meetings, please dress accordingly for evening weather.
Many guests choose to dress smartly for the occasion with Ladies Day attracting the most glamorous crowd of the year. With prizes on offer for our best dressed guests, and categories including best hat, best dressed and best fascinator, glamour and style are high on the agenda.
Fancy dress is allowed at all race meetings, however offensive items of clothing will not be permitted.
