Taunton Racecourse is England’s youngest National Hunt racecourse and one of the most beautifully located racecourses in the country, with outstanding views to the wooded slopes of the Blackdown Hills, yet only a few minutes drive from the M5 and the centre of Taunton.
At Taunton you can sense the atmosphere of raceday and the excitement of the race – it’s this that makes Taunton Racecourse a unique venue. There can be no better way of entertaining your clients, family or friends than a day at the races – ‘The Sport of Kings’. Fully equipped restaurant and function rooms, professional and friendly service and first class cuisine at prices to suit every budget will guarantee that you have a memorable day out.
Often dominated by the leading, local trainers, being a course with two long straights and two sharp bends, Taunton plays to the strengths of handy types.
Taunton has purpose-built private hospitality suites with full views of the racing for parties from 12 to 150. Each suite has close circuit television which show all of the racing and there is a Tote Kiosk on the same floor level. Suites allow a first class racing experience at Taunton, however, The Orchard Restaurant is first-class alternative.
Tables may be booked in the Restaurant which overlooks the course and your guests can wine and dine and enjoy a birds-eye view of the whole course without leaving their table. There is a Tote Kiosk in the restaurant and plenty of televisions on which to view the racing. Window tables can be booked for £55 per head which includes admission to the course, racecard, three-course lunch, afternoon tea, with coffee service throughout the day’s racing.
